1. At what time can I check in the hotel (time of arrival)?
The standard arrival time is from 2:00pm on the day of your arrival. If you want to arrive earlier, please contact the hotel reception and, if there is capacity available, you can check in at an earlier time for extra EUR 50.
2. At what time do I have to leave the room (time of departure)?
The standard time of checking out of the hotel room is at 11:00am on the day of your departure. If you want to leave later, please contact the hotel reception and, if there is capacity available, you can check out at a later time for extra EUR 50.
3. Can I keep my luggage in the hotel if I arrive earlier or if I want to leave later?
You can keep your luggage for free at the hotel reception. You can store your luggage there as needed if you arrive early or before leaving the hotel.
4. Does the hotel offer any transfer services to/from the airport?
We offer private transport from the airport to the residence and vice versa. If booked in advance at the hotel reception or by e-mail (appia,hhotels,cz), we guarantee a private transfer (up to 4 persons) with a reliable driver for EUR 24. You can pay for the transfer either in cash directly to the driver or by credit card at the hotel reception.
5. Does the hotel offer parking? Can I book a parking space?
Appia has its own underground garage with 16 parking spaces, which our clients can book when booking their accommodation directly on our website or through the hotel reception. The price for parking in the underground garage is EUR 25 per night.
There is also a new recharging station for electromobiles available in the garage. For hotel guests, this service is free of charge.
6. How can I reach you? What is the best way to get to the hotel?
By public transport:
Nearest tram stops - MALOSTRANSKÉ NÁMĚSTÍ (lines 12, 15, 20, 22, 23, 97). Nearest metro - MALOSTRANSKÁ (line A - green). Bus no. 192 runs from MALOSTRANSKÉ NÁMĚSTÍ to ŠPORKOVA. The residence is located 50 meters from the metro station on the right.
From the airport:
From Václav Havel Airport Prague, take bus no. 119 to the last stop NÁDRAŽÍ VELESLAVÍN and then take metro (line A) to MALOSTRANSKÁ. Then take tram no. 12, 15, 20 or 22 to MALOSTRANSKÉ NÁMĚSTÍ. Go across the street behind the tram stop and take bus no. 192 to ŠPORKOVA. The residence is located 50 meters from the stop on the right.
From the main train station (HLAVNÍ NÁDRAŽÍ) take metro (line C) to MUZEUM (transfer to line A), from MUZEUM take metro (line A) to MALOSTRANSKÁ. Then take tram no. 12, 15, 20 or 22 to MALOSTRANSKÉ NÁMĚSTÍ. Go across the street behind the tram stop and take bus no. 192 to ŠPORKOVA. The residence is located 50 meters from the stop on the right.
From NÁDRAŽÍ HOLEŠOVICE train station take tram no. 12 to MALOSTRANSKÁ NÁMĚSTÍ and then continue as described above.

7. Why should I make a reservation directly through your website and not elsewhere?
When booking directly through our website, you will get the following bonuses: bottle of water per person, possibility of early arrival free of charge (depending on the hotel capacity), welcome drink, souvenir, complimentary breakfast and free Wi-Fi internet access.
Also, you can be sure that the price offered is the final price (excluding the city charge of EUR 0.6 / person per night) and is not subject to any additional hidden fees. Many booking portals offer the price for accommodation at Appia without VAT or without breakfast or they will charge you with additional handling fees within the booking process.
8. Where can I buy public transport tickets?
At Václav Havel Airport Prague you may buy tickets in ticket machines immediately in front of the airport. At MALOSTRANSKÁ, a ticket machine is located at the entrance to the metro station. Another option is to buy tickets in the Inmedio store at MALOSTRANSKÉ NÁMĚSTÍ.
9. How do I get to the city centre?
Appia is located in the very heart of the historical centre of Prague just below Prague Castle. If you want to explore the historical centre (Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, etc.), ask for a map of Prague at the hotel reception and our staff will be happy to advise you on hiking routes as well as faster ways with the use of city public transport.
10. How do I get to Prague Castle?
The best choice is to walk the 500-meter-long trip which does not take more than 10 minutes. When you leave the reception and go outside, turn right. You will see the stairs towards Nerudova Street, turn left/up and then, after about 100 m, turn right, where you will see the sign leading to Prague Castle.
11. Is breakfast included in the price? Can I order a breakfast package?
The accommodation price includes breakfast in the form of cold and hot buffet with a wide selection of homemade sweet pastries served on the upper floor of the residence in an ancient restaurant with original beams from the 12th century. Breakfast is served from 7:00am to 10:00am, on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00am to 11:00am. It is also possible to order breakfast into your room or prepare a breakfast package if you need to leave the residence early. This service must be ordered in advance via the hotel reception.
12. What is the opening time of the reception?
Reception is open 24 hours 7 days a week. Our reception staff speaks Czech, English and other world languages.
13. Is there Wi-Fi available in the hotel/room?
The entire residence, including all public areas and all rooms, is covered by high-speed Wi-Fi internet. This service is free of charge. You will receive the Wi-Fi password at the hotel reception and it is also available in the information bulletin in your room.
14. Is it possible to stay in the residence with a pet?
Unfortunately, in order to provide the highest standard of our services and cleanliness of the rooms, pets are not allowed at the residence.
15. Is there a gym in the residence?
The residence does not have a gym or a fitness centre.
16. Is there a restaurant in the residence or around?
Appia does not have its own A la carte restaurant. However, in the immediate vicinity of the residence at Malá Strana, there are dozens of restaurants offering typical Czech dishes, as well as vegetarian, international and other specific cuisine.
17. Will you help me to buy bus, train or theatre tickets?
Our reception stuff speaking several world languages is available to you at any time. We can help you to get tickets to various cultural performances or other events of your selection, we can arrange Prague sightseeing tours or trips outside Prague, we can provide car rental and other services. There is a computer in the lobby where guests can find any information and print out airline tickets.
18. Can you arrange flowers, birthday cake, gluten-free breakfast or other services?
Our motto is: “Nothing is impossible”. Our reception staff can arrange flowers, a birthday cake, a gluten-free breakfast or a bottle of wine in your room as well as other services. Whatever is on your mind, please let us know. If you make your reservation directly through our website, you can order some of these services in the second step of the booking process.
19. Is there a baby cot or a baby chair available in the residence?
If requested so, we will place a baby cot in your room suitable for babies and small children up to 36 months. A baby chair is available in the breakfast restaurant. This is provided to our guests free of charge.
20. Is there a laundry in the residence?
Appia does not have its own laundry room. However, we arrange laundry and ironing services at an external company. This service is charged. The pricelist is available upon request.
