This is an interesting market and surely worth a visit. It’s a bit far from the centre, visited most by locals and expats that live in Prague. The market is set next to the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord, or simply, Plečnik. The popularity of this market is due to the conventional farmer’s markets that take place in this square every week from Wednesday to Saturday selling fresh produce, local food and some live music on Saturdays.
The infamous Prague TV Tower, the tallest building in Prague with its baby statues climbing upwards is just metres from here and you can go all the way to the top where there is a restaurant and offers extensive views of Prague.
Where to stay?
As we previously mentioned, Žižkov host to of our hotels, the larger and cosmopolitan hotel Ariston & Ariston Patio and the cozy and romantic hotel Carlton. Both great options to reach Jiriho on foot.
Hope you all enjoy the markets and be careful with the touristic traps, there are plenty of catch.
